As a vibrant 10-year-old in South Asia, *Amy has faced challenges that no child should have to endure.
Her mother passed away and her father was unable to care for her and her two younger brothers. She was left with relatives who were cruel to her and abused her. It was a heart-wrenching situation that no child should face.
Consequently, her ability to speak clearly was severely affected when we first met *Amy.
That was 3 years ago.
Today, after being under the compassionate care of the children’s home one of our team members runs, her once unclear speech is becoming more expressive!
Thanks to the loving staff, safe environment, and weekly visits from a dedicated therapist, she is on her healing journey and a spark is being rekindled in her!
She can now envision a hope-filled future!
